Biography
Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon | Orthopaedic Education & Residency Program Leader
Dr. Habib Mohammed Al-Ismaily is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with extensive clinical, educational, and leadership experience in the UAE and Germany. Since January 2025, he has served as Chief of the Orthopedic Department Division at Dubai Health and Director of the Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery Residency Program.
He holds the German Facharzt certification in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery and completed advanced specialist training at Klinikum Harlaching in Munich, Germany, affiliated with Ludwig Maximilians University. He also holds an MD from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest and a Master of Public Policy in Health from the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government in Dubai.
Dr. Al-Ismaily has played a significant role in postgraduate orthopaedic education and residency training in Dubai. Under his leadership, Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre was officially recognized as an AO Foundation Fellowship Host Center for 2025–2028, and he has served as AO Foundation Faculty at national and international levels since 2025.
He is President of the SICOT MENA Chapter and has been a regular invited speaker at major regional orthopaedic and trauma conferences, including the International Trauma Conference and Emirates Orthopaedic Society Annual Conferences. His professional interests also extend to clinical research, with publications covering sports-related injuries, complex trauma reconstruction, periprosthetic fractures, and other areas of orthopaedic practice.
