Biography
Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon | Chairman, Orthopaedics Emirati Board Scientific Committee
Dr. Hayder Al-Saadi is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Orthopaedics Emirati Board Scientific Committee. He also serves as Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program at SSMC and holds academic appointments at Gulf Medical University and Khalifa University.
With extensive clinical experience in orthopaedics, trauma, and spine surgery, Dr. Al-Saadi holds multiple international qualifications, including Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS), the Arab Board and Jordanian Board in Trauma & Orthopaedics, and a PhD/High Specialization in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
Dr. Al-Saadi is an AO Trauma International Faculty member and has been actively involved in AO Trauma education, research, and professional development across the UAE, Middle East, and internationally. His advanced fellowship training includes trauma research at the AO Research Institute in Switzerland, lower-limb reconstruction in Spain, pelvis and acetabulum surgery in the UK, and spine surgery.
Alongside his clinical practice, he has played a significant role in orthopaedic education and residency training in the UAE. He has chaired and contributed to numerous scientific committees, international congresses, and AO Trauma courses, while also contributing to published research in orthopaedic trauma, musculoskeletal infection, spine surgery, and fracture management.
