Biography
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon | Hospital Director
Dr. Khaleil Ebraheim Almatrooshi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and healthcare leader currently serving as Hospital Director of Kalba Hospital, UAE. He holds the Swedish Board in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and has progressed through several senior clinical and administrative positions, including Head of the Orthopaedic Department at Fujairah Hospital and Assistant Director for Medical Affairs at Kalba Hospital.
Alongside his clinical and executive responsibilities, Dr. Almatrooshi serves as Chairman of the Orthopedic Services Committee at Emirates Health Services and Secretary General of the Emirates Orthopedic Society. He has also contributed to national healthcare committees covering medical liability, treatment abroad, sick leave, and the national injury registry system.
His leadership experience extends to medical education, professional congresses, and community initiatives. He has served as Medical Director for Medical Promotion for the Special Olympics, Vice President of the EHS Orthopedic Congress 2025, and a member of the organizing committee of the Emirates Orthopedic Congress from 2020 to 2025.
Under his leadership, Kalba Hospital achieved several institutional milestones, including Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, five-star recognition in the Global Star Rating for Government Services, ISO accreditations, and recognition for excellence in patient experience. He has also pursued executive education in leadership, digital health, artificial intelligence, data science, and government efficiency.
