Biography

Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Marc Sinclair is a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon working in Dubai since 2006. He is a full-time Consultant Pediatric Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon at Medcare Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital Dubai. He holds part-time positions at Mediclinic Parkview and Mubadala Health Dubai. He regularly visits Tbilisi, Georgia, as a Visiting Consultant.

He completed Medical School at the University of Tübingen in Germany and obtained extensive training as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Germany and at the University Children’s Hospital in Basel, Switzerland. Given his interest in Orthopaedic conditions in children was awarded a Peabody Clinical Fellowship at Harvard University in Boston, USA, in 2001. In Boston, he had the opportunity to further his expertise in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Returning to Germany in 2002, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Department at the Altona University Children’s Hospital in Hamburg. Here he developed his main interest in Limb deformities and Spine Surgery. He introduced the Ponseti Method for clubfoot treatment to Germany and developed a department dedicated to the correction of Limb deformities.

In 2006, Dr Sinclair moved to the United Arab Emirates as a Specialist Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon. His work experience includes working at renowned Dubai Hospitals as well as Founder and Medical Director of The Children’s Center in Dubai for 7 years. Dr. Sinclair has always shown great interest in teaching and has organized courses on Pediatric Orthopaedic Topics such as Clubfoot deformity and Hip dysplasia in the country. He is the initiator and a founding member of the Middle East Pediatric Orthopaedic Society. Dr Sinclair has a master’s degree (MAS) in Global Health Planning and Management from the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, USA, completed in 2024.
