Biography
MB ChB (Honours), MSc, MRCS, MD, FRCS (Tr & Orth) Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon / Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery
Fellowship-trained Trauma and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with advanced subspecialty training in Trauma Surgery at Hannover Medical School, Germany, and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), University of Toronto, Canada. Extensive experience in the management of complex adult and paediatric musculoskeletal trauma, with particular expertise in pelvic and acetabular injuries, peri-articular fractures, paediatric and adolescent hip preservation, limb reconstruction, and deformity correction. Experienced in the application of advanced external fixation techniques, including Ilizarov circular frames, hexapod systems, and monolateral external fixators. Research interests focus on lower limb deformity correction, limb lengthening and reconstruction, the exstrophy–epispadias complex, and paediatric pelvic trauma. Academic output includes 47 peer-reviewed publications, 10 book chapters, and 4 surgical technique videos published on the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Orthopaedic Video Theater platform (video.aaos.org).
