Biography
Consultant Trauma & Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon | Clinical Professor
Prof. Sattar Alshryda is a Consultant Trauma and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon and Clinical Head of Trauma & Orthopaedics at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital in Dubai, UAE. He is also a Clinical Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
With extensive international training and experience across the UAE, UK, Canada, and Germany, Prof. Alshryda has particular expertise in paediatric orthopaedics, trauma, hip disorders, limb deformity correction, and evidence-based surgical practice. He holds a PhD, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics), EBOT, SICOT Diploma, MBA, and MSc qualifications, and serves as an examiner for the FRCS, MRCS, and SICOT examinations.
He is President-Elect of the Middle East Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (MEPOS) and Chair of the SICOT Global Research Network. An accomplished researcher, educator, and author, he has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed research, international studies, textbooks, and book chapters in paediatric orthopaedics. He has also received numerous awards for clinical excellence, research, and academic achievement.
Prof. Alshryda is actively involved in advancing orthopaedic research and innovation in the UAE, including the development of national and international collaborative research initiatives.
